Last days before we start our play group, ie “school”. Is this the face we make when we think about going to school??

We have such big imaginations. Watching us play is pretty fun. This pile of rocks is actually a cake that we carefully made.
Looking fly at the library. We visited the top this time.
We got our letters from Miss Christina! She sent one to each of us, and it was pretty special. She had a cartoon picture on the top of all the kids in the group, with their names listed- including us! She told us what we would be doing, which included fun things like playing inside, playing outside, baking, and eating snacks and lunch! Look how excited we are!

Enjoying the pool while it’s still warm. We only last about ten or fifteen minutes before we want to get out.

The weekend before school, we went for a walk on Mt. Vernon. Avery found some flowers.

And Aurelia found acorns! She said “mommy, A is for Acorn!” Smarty.

Then we got a little ice cream treat.

Mommy just loves these little feet, with the little dimple!

Burning off some energy in the house…

The Monday before school was the solar eclipse. Mommy didn’t trust us to be outside, so we stayed inside. And even when we were driving to Omi’s after the eclipse, we made sure to wear sunglasses.
Our lunch is all ready!

It’s here! First day of school!

Outtakes!

Our first day of school went great! Mommy stayed for a long time, but by the time she came to pick us up, we didn’t want to leave!
She had a treat for us though- going to visit the helicopter in the new STEM building at ERAU!
Second day of school. We no longer really care if mommy leaves.
And look at what we made!

Here are some pictures of Christina’s amazing backyard, which we love so very much!
Treats for the baby cheetahs after a very successful first week!

And look at the art we’ve done at school! This first one is by Aurelia. You can see her face and body and especially her feet with red shoes on. She has said that the brown things are the jelly beans.

Avery- his house looks pretty busy.

While mommy was helping Avery trace, Aurelia was doing this all by herself.

This is an accurate representation of the scene every night at bedtime after school… obviously it wore us out. We can’t wait to go back next week!
