We had the best Christmas and New Year’s! We got to go on a trip, and while we aren’t big fans of the car, we had so much fun experiencing new things that it made it all worth it!
After a long drive, we finally made it to Anaheim, where Papa and Omi were waiting for us! We were a little confused about this at first, but we happily settled down to play with Omi in our hotel room.

We spent Christmas eve in California Adventure. We had a lot of fun, and it wasn’t crowded at all! The weather was nice, too.

We ate hummus while waiting at Soarin’ Over California. Omi and Papa and mommy and daddy all took turns at riding the rides and entertaining us.

We are so excited to start our day and go to Disneyland!
Unlike Christmas Eve in CA Adventure, Disneyland was very crowded! They reached maximum capacity that day, which is about 65,000 people!
We still had fun! Here is Avery being such a big boy and walking/waiting in line with daddy and Papa to go on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Lots of special treats for us today. We got to have rice crispy treats in the shape of Mickey.
We liked it. A lot.
Of course we couldn’t NOT have one of these when we visit Disneyland.
Aurelia had more fun climbing up and down this step than she did on any of the rides 🙂
Back at the hotel after a long and fun (and cold!) day in the park! Our favorite rides were Winnie the Pooh and It’s a Small World. We didn’t want to get off!
Long day…
After leaving Disneyland we went to Coronado! We had lots of fun walking around the Hotel Del and looking at the agua and the birds and the people.

We are being such good and funny kiddos while mommy and daddy get things ready for the night.
We got to all have lunch at the Hotel Del and meet up with auntie and uncle. We were extra spoiled by everyone.

We got to touch sea creatures! Avery liked it more than Aurelia, who didn’t really like the cold water (it was really really cold!)
Omi and Papa let mommy and daddy have a nice night out! The food, the views and the company were perfect!
We didn’t mind at all, and had fun at the hotel with Omi and Papa. We played with our new toys!

Omi and Papa had to go home, and we went to stay with auntie and uncle in San Diego. They had presents waiting for us! They always spoil us!

We went to JFATS to eat. This is how mommy was entertaining Aurelia.
We were SO good! Aurelia ate while Avery slept, and she figured out how to dip fries in ketchup.
Then it was brother’s turn to eat, while Aurelia got some outside time.

All the toys he could want, and all he consistently wanted was the doorstopper. That, and both babies loved to play with the rocks in the fake tree. Go figure!
Avery found the Kleenex and knew just what to do with them.
Avery decided he only wanted to wear half of his shirt. And he most decidedly wanted to practice flushing the toilet.
Back home for us! We got to go see auntie Denise and cousin Morgan. And look what Morgan made for us! We’ll have to wear them on our trip to London.
In anticipation of our trip, mommy thought it would be wise to get us backpacks (with leashes!) and luckily we love them (so far).

We also had our 18 month check up, finally. Aurelia is about 20 lbs and Avery about 22.6 lbs, and we are both growing well. We are happy and healthy! We are also saying lots of new words, like “Nemo” (of course), “bubble”, “baby”, and we also can nod our heads “yes” now. Avery’s favorite word is “hot”, which he says really well. We say “up” a lot and “hi” and “bye bye” too!
