January has been fun-filled for us already! Before we tell you about our adventures, we have to take a detour because Mommy had some fun dressing Aurelia up like some sort of Russian princess 🙂
Too cute to resist! Now back to business! Before we left we saw our first snow- no time to play in it though, we had to get in our rental car and drive drive drive to escape the blizzard! (Not a real blizzard. An Arizona blizzard, which is bad enough).

We had a fun time in San Diego, mainly looking at all the people, and having all the people look at us and tell us how adorable we are.

Mommy and Daddy thought it would be funny to give Avery a lemon and watch his face. Mom and Dad were disappointed, however, when Avery quickly started sucking and thoroughly enjoying the lemon (notice his tongue all the way under the lemon wedge!)

Then it was time for our first time at Disneyland and California Adventure! It is a special place for Mom and Dad- they had their honeymoon at Disneyland, and have always dreamed about the day when they could take their own kids to Disney!
Here we are looking cute in our first of many Disney outfits on our first morning at the park. We wanted to be spruced up and prepared, Disney style! We even wore our official “First Visit” pins!
Now we are in the stroller and all set to go!

Disneyland was still decorated for Christmas because they were celebrating the Three Kings, or Tres Reyes- just like in Spain!
First order of business- ice cream. We did not get any of this ice cream (that came later on the trip, when Mom and Dad caved and gave Avery a lick. Which turned into another lick, and another, until Mommy had to throw it away because he would not stop…)
Our first ride was Alice in Wonderland. This was also Mom’s first ride at Disneyland!
Daddy is having fun… Avery not so much. We also went on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean… and fell asleep during the rides, or slept through them from beginning to end. We are brave babies who are not easily impressed.
We got a family picture with the Genie- the Genie, however, was much more interested in flirting with the pretty girls just outside of the picture than in taking pictures with babies! Also, Mom got her beloved Mickey pretzel.
It was hot in Disneyland. Like summer hot. In January. So we shared a Tigger hat. We were so cute in it, and we made lots and lots of friends with the people in line.
Funny selfies.
And one “shellfie”. Ha. Ha. Get it? Because we’re in a shell? Little Mermaid ride?

It’s a Small World is beautiful for Christmas, and it was Aurelia’s favorite ride. We also ride Dumbo for the first time- I think Mommy and Daddy had more fun than we did.
The castle was also very beautiful with all the lights!
Dia de Reyes festivities in California Adventure.
New Carsland- we were too tiny to go on the rides, but we could take a picture with Mater (okay, this is an edit. I realize now, upon closer inspection, that this is in no way Mater and is in fact just a tractor)! Fun fact- the woman who took this had a little girl who is hidden behind Mater (tractor)- she refused to leave him so we could take a photo 😉
After a long ride home, we could finally relax and enjoy turning 7 months old! As you can see, we are getting better at sitting, closer to crawling, and our personalities are really showing!
